i often find that the trouble with book writing is how much can be said and set in stone. or rather, how little. i would prefer to speak with you, whoever reads this. i suppose at every step i show dichotomy and every time i find unity. (or perhaps the other way around). the content of my work is unimportant. the form of my thought may be a positive influence on a reader who wants to cultivate themselves and others. our intention is growth.
these words will die the moment they are printed. this book is as valuable as the value it finds, holds, and bears for you and me. its existence will be played out in the scheme of the great mechanism.
the great mechanism is always in motion.
the book aims to elucidate a system of thought that is also in motion. if the mechanism moves in the way that this worldview moves, and if this work speaks to this system of thought well, than perhaps the book will do good.
or maybe the book itself will become like an appendage to the machine, introducing a thought in motion. the machine may never be the same again.
likely it will be some combination of the two.
reading/writing is a good way to learn, i think, and teach. my hope is to create work that encourages repetition and practice. this is worth doing for myself, at least. thus it is worth doing and probably good for someone else as well.
