rabbit: denison, why do you sit and stew and sadness when the world is available for you to take and cherish?
denison: i cherish this life. honestly, i am offended that you would even say that.
rabbit: i'm sorry, i didn't meant to offend you. why, though, if you love life as you say you do, why does it seem like you are always waiting for a better future rather than living in the potential of the present. we are alive and well! this moment is all there is my friend, lets live and love each day, even if we may have bright things in our future. it is pointless to spend our time waiting for a moment that hasn't come yet.
denison: fuck you. you don't know what i go through, you don't know what goes on in my mind. you know nothing. all you know how to do is look optimistically on things. you keep saying that you are alive and well but i know that deep down you have your own doubts and fears. you cannot possibly believe the things you say.
rabbit: of course, you are right. i have many doubts and struggles. but, life is inescapable, we are alive. we live and love and that is good. this is undeniable.
denison: fine. then i agree with that. i am offended still that you think i don't see this. i live my life and i pursue happiness. i want to be stable and have the ability to do the things i want to do. as such i take care of my responsibilities and i know that my actions will lead me to a situation where i am comfortable. this is happiness.
rabbit: you are pursuing resources, not happiness. happiness is now. kingdom come right now! that's what i say. resources are only as valuable as the life that lives in them. if you wait for a better future then you are missing the point. if you cannot achieve happiness in the present then you will not be able to achieve happiness in any present, whether you have resources or not!
denison: but of course resources are important! if you don't have money you will not be happy. i can have all the things i want if i have money.
rabbit: and this is why you wait for a better future? is it because you will have more money and resources in the future?
denison: of course. and also because i will be able to choose where i am. i don't want to be here right now but i have to be where i am now in order to complete my plan, which will eventually get me the things i want.
rabbit: well you have missed the point. money is irrelevant to happiness. the rich and the poor both struggle with happiness equally. their struggles are very different but they both struggle to achieve happiness. there are rich people and poor people that achieve happiness and thus, money is irrelevant.
denison: i cannot accept this. see in your life and your actions whether money has no effect on your happiness. i am sure that you will meet struggles that way and come to find eventually that you must fit into this system. you use money everyday. you cannot deny that it is a part of your life.
rabbit: it is a part of my life but it is not a part of my happiness!
denison: nonsense!
